Hi, I was wondering if there is a tool or script to automatically delete old packages or distfiles that you no longer have emerged.

My hard drive isn't very large and I now have 11GB free. I am going to be doing emerge --sync && emerge -uDav world after emerge -eav finishes. I don't want to save old packages or distfiles that I don't have installed.

I just rm /usr/portage/distfiles/* every now and then. I don't need to remerge things very often, so I usually find it's simpler to just redownload the sources than to keep them hanging around on my disk just on the off-chance.

As for /usr/portage/packages, I don't have one of those so I couldn't possibly comment.
