I got a HP nx8220.

And I get this kernel error trying to boot after installing gentoo.
Errormessage
Code:
Cannot allocate resource region 7 of bridge 0000:00:1c.1
Cannot allocate resource region 8 of bridge 0000:00:1c.1
Cannot allocate resource region 9 of bridge 0000:00:1c.1

Any ideas to fix this?

Added info:
I tried to boot with these options
Code:
acpi=off pci=routeirq
and now the computer halts after outputing
Code:
agpart: Detected an Intel 915GM Chipset

I might be going the complete wrong way but... it looks like your kernel isn't configured to match all the chips on your Motherboard. Was that right after the end of the installation?

I have an HP6120 so I guess the chips might be the same

I'd boot of the CD and chroot into your new gentoo as per the handbook. Then reconfigure your kernel to include the above.

Best of luck.
Ed.

Have a look at the following in your kernel:

    Symbol: BLK_DEV_PIIX [=y]
    Prompt: Intel PIIXn chipsets support
    Defined at drivers/ide/Kconfig:592
    Depends on: IDE && BLK_DEV_IDE && BLK_DEV_IDEDMA_PCI
    Location:
    -> Device Drivers
    -> ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support
    -> ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support (IDE [=y])
    -> Enhanced IDE/MFM/RLL disk/cdrom/tape/floppy support (BLK_DEV_IDE [=y])
    -> PCI IDE chipset support (BLK_DEV_IDEPCI [=y])
    -> Generic PCI bus-master DMA support (BLK_DEV_IDEDMA_PCI [=y])

All checked an is set to * (=Y)

Now I get: input: AT Translated Set 2 Keyboard on isa0060/serio0

Any ideas?

Added info:
And after second reboot same error as before.
