Hi,
NetworkManager crashes at shutdown with latest kernel.
Plz note Wifi driver is out of the tree, but at least not causing NW crash with kernel 4.0.5.
Wifi is connected prior to shutdown.
I'm currently trying with no WIFI connexion.

I'm wondering whether others are experiencing the same with in tree drivers.

Thks 4 ur attention, interest & support.

As I also have brakage @ wifi disconnection, I consider the issue to be out of the tree driver related.
Thks 4 ur attention, interest & support.

Hi CaptainBlood.

Because of your thread here, I tried to start a little stress test of my WLAN connectivity in combination with my fresh kernel-4.1.0. and checked my log for any WIFI crashes.
So I synced my latest system snapshot to my backup server via WLAN, without any lost of connectivity or crashes.

Also nothing in my log after a reboot, but I'm using a in kernel WLAN driver.

So this is just for your information only.

Code:

Linux netbook 4.1.0-gentoo #1 SMP Tue Jun 23 14:30:38 CEST 2015 i686 Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU N270 @ 1.60GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

02:00.0 Network controller: Ralink corp. RT2790 Wireless 802.11n 1T/2R PCIe
Subsystem: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. [MSI] RT2790 Wireless 802.11n 1T/2R PCIe
        Kernel driver in use: rt2800pci

Sun Jun  7 22:46:00 2015 >>> net-misc/networkmanager-1.0.2-r1

Regards, Andy.

Sorry,

I think I'd better close this thread as kernel stack logs have been reported to dev.
