Hello everyone,

I would like to announce my dwm status bar program. Here is a short description:

Quote:
dwm-bar.c will show overall usage about cpu and cpu temperature, ram, disk, installed packages, kernel, motherboard voltage, system fans and their speed in RPM, motherboard (name, vendor, temperature), volume and time

I wrote her one year ago in my very first three days as dwm user, since then I exchanged my window manager to xmonad and became Gentoo user as well. During that one year I expanded the program, but it seems she has not gained too much attention.

Will be glad as well thankful if someone can write an ebuild in their spare time.

I will be really happy to see more people utilizing and modifying my program.

Cheers

Hey,

Looks like a cool status bar!
I like all the information that's given.
I will try to write an ebuid for it whenever I have time :)
I'll keep you updated about my progress.

Kind Regards,

Jordy

No problem, I like helping people and expanding my knowledge (I don't have much experience with writing ebuilds).
I'm rather young so there is still lots for me to learn.

Kind Regards,

Jordy

Jzomer,

Age is no barrier in FOSS. Its your skill set that counts and you are never too young to develop that.

Gentoo even had a Young ones club at one time.
Unfortunately, the dev who started it grew up.

Thanks, that's true!
I'm only 17, and work as a linux engineer so I learn more and more every day :)
A young ones community would be great, too bad it stopped :p

Kind Regards,

Jordy
