I have followed our wiki to the end.It does seem like I got it working when I start and shutdown I get solar theme - except for bootloader menu itself is still black en white text - without theme.

I have recently migrated my desktop to 64bits where all those years I had been using the other variation ie fbsplash.Which I do remember that it modified the boot menu as well to give it some life.Is this normal behavior of plymouth or I got something still not correct ?

Many thanks

I use my desktop wallpaper for gdm, fbsplash and grub2 as well.
There is IMHO not more you can do to get a consistent look during boot.

I am not so sure about the behavior of this plymouth thing, but I got the feeling that the same them (solar) will also be installed in the bootmenu and by stating "keep" in /etc/default/grub it will be maintained during booting......

In the end ofcourse I only have solar during boot && shutting down.....I think its an issue can not spot it right now if kernel support or configuration gone wrong.

Thanks for the quick response.

Plymouth is part of your operating system startsequence, so it can't "run" in the bootloader.

Like said above, you can Theme your Bootloader by yourself or disable the menu by default.
