I have a gentoo box acting as a bridge and have a 3rd interface (USB3.0->ethernet) for management. When rebooting, the onboard interfaces come up fine. The bridge interface comes up fine, and traffic flows as expected. However the USB interface doesn't. The device is there; named as expected; has an IP, but no traffic is flowing. If I unplug the interface, then re-plug in the interface (wait a couple seconds for udev to do its thing), it is available and configurable. `rc-service net.enp2s20u1u1 restart` brings it up.

Is it possible to get this interface working without the unplug/replug step?
