Hi, not a kernel problem but an HW problem, I cant compile lagre packages like GCC because of heating (start beeping an error, and my girlfriend would kill me if I just let it continue ).

Normal cpu temprature is 33-34 C but hit the error limit of 95degrees when it run on 100% for some minutes. But I dont think the fan runs on full speed as it only goes to 2020 RPM according to sensors.
All other system components is well inside error limits.

I think 2020RPM is very low to be the max fan speed? The cpu in question is an i3-4150 with the stock heatsink/fan (BX80646I34150) on a SuperMicro X10SAE motherboard.

So can I force the fan to run on 100% from the OS? I can not seem to find any fan settings in the proc filesystem...

The fan RPM wasn't the problem, i guess i knocked the heat sink when i installed 3 new disks 3-4 months ago, after reinstalling the heat sink the temperature never goes over 62C on 100% load and the fan runs on about 1300RPM :)
