Is there a way to get a list of bootable kernels from a EFI efibootmgr bootloader?

Thaidog ... no, not that I know of ... efibootmgr doesn't know about efi executables other than those entries supplied as '--loader', efibootmgr isn't a bootloader, its just modifies nvram. rEFInd will autodect efi executables, and kernel's suffix'ed with *.efi, and provide these as --loader ... but I'm fairly sure you can't do the same with efibootmgr.

best ... khay

Some EFI implementations (Lenovo etc.) have a boot menu which you can set as default in efibootmgr. This will show the same menu that you would normally get when pressing the boot selection hotkey during boot.
Code:
# efibootmgr
...
Boot0001  Boot Menu

Hmm I wonder if the VMware EFI can do that?
