I've performed world rebuild recently. Today I had restarted the system and discovered that it has no wireless network device (wlan0) anymore. It is not a naming problem, ip a s shows only lo and eth0 devices. I encounter once an issue when wlan0 was renamed to some random name like bwahah-rz, and that is not the case.

lspci shows pci device Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless Network Adapter. But it has no kernel drivers assigned. It was build as kernel module and previously there was a piece of initialization scripts that invoked modprobe on it. Now I had rebuilded the world, but kept the grub conf (I use old school grub-0.97) and the kernel untouched. So there were some changes in system initialization scripts that made my configuration invalid.

Do you have any clues about what had happened to my system and how it can be healed?

Maybe there is some informations in dmesg about that device?
Code:
$ dmesg | lspci -vvv -s [[[[<domain>]:]<bus>]:][<slot>][.[<func>]]

Sorry, must have overlooked this detail.
Maybe you can find what you're looking for in the documentation?

I managed to postpone the issue. I've masked eudev-3 and above and downgraded to the second version. That package caused all my troubles with wireless, acpi, sensors and so on. I suppose dropping firmware loader in the newest eudev is the matter. But I doesn't know hot to overcome this restrictions. Make menuconfig prevents me from disabling userspace firmware loader helper, it is required by dependencies.
