For the longest time i used vanilla-sources and one day it because tooooooooooooooo much work to be maintained by gentoo as it used to be.
So i moved to gentoo-sources and ever since vanilla-sources 3.14.10 i have been unable to have a working gentoo-sources miracle kernel. The problem is always a black screen right after grub choices.

I have recompiled many gentoo-sources trying to find the option causing this problem but have been unsuccessful for the netboook. The change was done by make oldconfig and i guess the miracle gentoo sources have changed something that is not working like before.

The best/most functional kernel i was able to get, allowed me to boot the system but maintaining a black screen after grub. All other builds stall the boot process after grub.

Code:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Atom Processor D4xx/D5xx/N4xx/N5xx Integrated Graphics Controller
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Atom Processor D4xx/D5xx/N4xx/N5xx Integrated Graphics Controller

Last kernel Linux/x86 3.18.9-gentoo .config is:

you have kms and fb drivers enabled in kernel
you have kms enabled but Framebuffer Console Support is not enabled

Thank you for the reply it got me in the right track.

Initially this was my full working support with vanilla-sources :

Code:
Graphics support  ---
<*> /dev/agpgart (AGP Support)  --->
  <*>   Intel 440LX/BX/GX, I8xx and E7x05 chipset support
<*> Lowlevel video output switch controls
   -*- Support for frame buffer devices  --->

Console display driver support  --->
 [*] VGA text console '''(optional)'''
  <*> Framebuffer Console support

<*> Direct Rendering Manager (XFree86 4.1.0 and higher DRI support)  --->
 <*>   Intel 830M, 845G, 852GM, 855GM, 865G (i915 driver)  ---> (X) i915 driver
  [*]    Enable modesetting on intel by default

[*] Bootup logo  --->
  [*]   Standard 224-color Linux logo

Currently it is all working with gentoo-sources:

Code:
<*> /dev/agpgart (AGP Support)  --->
  -*-   Intel 440LX/BX/GX, I8xx and E7x05 chipset support

Direct Rendering Manager  --->
 <*> Direct Rendering Manager (XFree86 4.1.0 and higher DRI support)
  <*> Intel 8xx/9xx/G3x/G4x/HD Graphics
   [*]   Enable modesetting on intel by default
   [*]   Enable legacy fbdev support for the modesetting intel driver

Frame buffer Devices  --->
  -*- Support for frame buffer devices

-*- Backlight & LCD device support --->
  -*-   Lowlevel Backlight controls

Console display driver support  --->
  [*] VGA text console
 <*> Framebuffer Console support
  -*-   Map the console to the primary display device
