How to configure lm-sernsor or other program to send an email in for example when CPU fan fails or core temp exceed certain temp.

I recently had a fan that failed on my remote box and didn't detected the problem until I started compiling something.
The CPU has a big cooler, it was enough to keep the box running but not enough during compiling:

My Fan1 was showing 0

After I change the Fan it show:
Code:
fan1:        1024 RPM  (min =   10 RPM

Hey Josephsys,

A quick Google search led me to http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/40617/lm-sensors-run-specific-commands-when-temperature-goes-above-below-limits which has a script that you can adapt to your needs. Let me know if you need any help getting things set up.

Cheers!
