I'm have trouble right at the beginning of the live-cd x86 install.
The disk is formatted.
I need a Internet connection to proceed with the stage-3 package download.

Sempron 3000+ 1.8 GHz:
Motherboard Name: K8S-LA
74.4 Gb sata wd: Caviar
1024Gb PC3200 Dimm
Belkin Broadcom Wireless G Plus pci-card

Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller (rev02)
Im pretty sure have b43 drivers and require fwcutter firmware (unsure.)

When I issue ifconfig it shows activity in the lo (Loopback), and /etc/init.d/net.enp0s4 restart shows this:
Code:

*   Bringing up interface enp0s4
*      Starting netplug on enp0s4 ...
*        Backgrounding ...
* WARNING: net.enp0s4 has started, but is inactive

Some things I have tried:
Code:

cd /etc/init.d
ln -s net.lo net.enp0s4
rc-update add net.enp0s4 default
/etc/init.d/net.enp0s4 restart

/etc/init.d/net.enp0s4 stop
rfkill unblock all
/etc/init.d/net.enp0s4 start

openrc

wpa_supplicant -Dwext -ienp0s4 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

modprobe b43
modprobe mac80211

nano /etc/conf.d/modules   #(set modules=b43, modules=mac80211)
nano /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

     ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=wheel
     ap_scan=1

     network={
             ssid="YourSSID"
             psk="your-secret-key"
             scan_ssid=1
             proto=WPA
             key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
             group=CCMP TKIP
             pairwise=CCMP TKIP
             priority=5
     }

modules_eth0=( "!plug" )
modules_wlan0="wpa_supplicant"

config_eth0=( "dhcp" )
config_wlan0="dhcp"
config_eth0="dhcp" "10.0.0.17/24"
routes_eth0="10.0.0.0/24 via 10.0.0.1"
dns_domain_eth0="your.domain"
dns_servers_eth0="192.168.0.2 192.168.0.3"

I also set the rc-hotplugs on in /etc/rc.config.
My hands are in the air.
This is a new post, but I figured the added and condensed information might help come to a solution, plug the wireless pci card in the title might draw someone that had already solved this issue.
Thanks to anyone that can help in any way. Much appreciation.
Jay

You may want to try out advice given here: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1017954-highlight-.html

In other words, install your Gentoo first, then worry about wireless.

I got knoppix up with a connection and a commandline... Kind of stuck on which direction to go from here. Looking it up. Do I find a way to get the stage-3 tar ball on the hard drive in the folder I created, and then put the install disk back in?

I'm mounting the minimal install to a usb thumb drive now... Then, I'll mount the thumb drive from knoppix. That should work, right?
