When I do
Code:
cat /proc/driver/rtc

I found that the variable batt_status have the value okay. Is that tell that the CMOS battery in the motheboard have enough energy? Is the value reliable?

I think it's a yes/no (available since the IBM AT) and you won't know that it's dead until it's too late. Probably only good enough to trust whether or not the RTC had a possibly reliable time or not.

Some motherboards have the voltage available on i2c and can be read with lm-sensors.

However I've had RTC batteries that were so marginal that they read fine but when power's out for a day, it's dead and lost CMOS contents/time.
