I'm trying to get my Radeon 8470D working. I'm at the step where I need to compile the kernel with the appropriate radeon firmware. However the compile fails with the following:

make [1]: *** No rule to make target '/lib/firmware/radeon/KABINI_ce.bin,', needed by 'firmware/KABINI_ce.bin,.gen.o'. Stop.
Makefile:947: recipe for target 'firmware' failed
make: *** [firmware] Error 2

Any help would be appreciated.

emerge --ask radeon-ucode

or:

I've have/had radeon-ucode installed. So I'm assuming that is not the source of my problem.

Found error to have been that the firmware name were separated by ",".
