For some unknown reason it is now impossible to adjust brightness with function keys. As I use HP-Probook 4530s it is fn+f2 (brightness up) and fn+f3 (brightness down).

I should say that I had no chance to upgrade in July and in August I had many packages reemerged so I can not tell where is the problem source.
I use KDE and (unlike here) it is still possible to adjust brightness with "Battery monitor settings" slider in the tray. Also I've tested xbacklight and it also proved to be working.

But both fn+f2 and fn+f3 do not work. And they are now not recognized by e.g. xev.

dmesg give
Code:
[ 4291.032234] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes e012 <keycode>' to make it known.
[ 4291.153672] atkbd serio0: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x92 on isa0060/serio0).
[ 4291.153682] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes e012 <keycode>' to make it known.
[ 4291.302911] atkbd serio0: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0x97 on isa0060/serio0).
[ 4291.302921] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes e017 <keycode>' to make it known.
[ 4291.444176] atkbd serio0: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x97 on isa0060/serio0).
[ 4291.444180] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes e017 <keycode>' to make it known.

xmodmap -pke | grep -i monbright output is
Code:
keycode 232 = XF86MonBrightnessDown NoSymbol XF86MonBrightnessDown
keycode 233 = XF86MonBrightnessUp NoSymbol XF86MonBrightnessUp

but (as suggested here or here)
Code:
setkeycodes e017 233

and following xmodmap'ing does not work.
I mean dmesg stops complaining, but xev do not recognize the buttons anyway.

Do not know, how to fix.
Does anybody experience the same?

Should I file some sort of bug and to which package should the bug belong?
Help needed!
