I have two Gentoo systems, both with a script in /etc/pm/sleep.d, this script executes perfectly fine on one system, but fails to execute on the other.

Both are set as +x and both do the exact same thing. For testing purposes I've reduced the script to simply:

Code:

#!/bin/sh

case "${1}" in
        resume|thaw)

        echo "test" >> /var/log/test.log
;;
esac

I expect this to execute when the system resumes from sleep mode. This is what happens on one system, on the other system, nothing happens. Both run the same kernel.

Maybe I'm missing something that I forgot to emerge? But what?

This might sound a little crazy, but are the appropriate power management settings enabled in BIOS?
