I have a multiple boot that include xen dom0 & std kernels.
xen dom0 require xencommons & xenconsoled @rc-update, so there both are set to default.
Meanwhile at least one of them causes std kernels boot 2 switch back 2 teminal 1 cancelling prompt for GUI login manager which has to be recovered by Ctrl Alt f7 key combo.

Any idea how 2 avoid this situation, thus leading to GUI Login Manager?

Thks 4 ur attention.

lol
just change xencommons & xenconsoled and add to init script if statements

i.e /etc/init.d/xenconsoled
Code:

start() {
if [[ `uname -r` == '4.0.9-gentoo-xen' ]]; than
    start-stop-daemon --start --exec /usr/sbin/xenconsoled \
                               --pidfile /var/run/xenconsoled.pid \
                               ${XENCONSOLED_OPTS}
    eend $*
fi
}

And for other daemons
