I believe my ssd runs at a much slower speed as it should !

The hardware is asusg75vw. the two 2.5" SATA bays should be SATA3 what i know so far.

How comes that the kernel max those drives all for UDMA/133

UDMA 133 means basically 133MB / seconds.

Far too slow for my drive. PLEXTOR PX-128M3, 1.07 (the firmware was updated recently)

Please give me some advise / hints. (I am checking dmesg as of now and optimizing my kernel)

i need to figure out which kernel module needs to be built in for this mainboard.

Ignore the udma part.

The "SATA link up" seems to be reporting the correct speeds for your drives, that's what matters.

What speeds do you get for `dd if=/dev/yourssd of=/dev/null bs=1M count=10000 skip=10000`

Thanks frostschutz.

Windi Operating system has some disc benchmark software. I think they call it crystalmark or so.(most often seen for disc benchmarks on any hardware site, like notebookcheck.com and such)

Are there any disc benchmark software in linux? So i could see or verify those Sata 3 thing? Honestly i never had the urge to test that out, my previous device only had sata 1.

I am also not sure If I used the correct kernel modules for my mainboard.

seems it only works on the full drive, 425 MB/s read speed seems to okay for myself.
I am not that fussed with up to 510mb/s what the box claims. I just wanted to make sure it is not slowed down to that udma/133 thing by software

It's fine. With SATA II you would not see more than 250 thereabouts.
