Hello !

I am facing some problems with my X server. It's been working well with the intel driver until I tried to use the ati (radeon) driver.

Seeing that it wouldn't work with radeon (I'll keep that for later), I came back to the intel driver (

Finally, I recompiled the kernel without radeon.

Everything compiles well but the server won't start:

There might be some mismatch with 32 bits packages (?)

I tried rebooting a lot, removing and reinstalling packages, recompiling the kernel, the intel driver won't load :(

Hi, I had some issues with getting the intel driver to load a while back on a previous desktop.Turned out I had something in my kernel built as a module when it should have been built in. Dont remember exactly what it was..I'm assuming you followed https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Intel and enabled the same options in your kernel, and remembered to run
Code:
make && make modules_install

Code:
make install

Sorry have to ask :P

EDIT: Can I ask why you're troubleshooting the intel driver instead of the radeon one?
