My laptop has stopped suspending when I close the lid. The display turns off when I close the lid and comes back when I open it, but nothing else happens. In /var/log/messages I see

Code:

Dec 14 09:27:25 localhost systemd-logind[3078]: Lid closed.
Dec 14 09:27:25 localhost systemd[1]: Got notification message for unit
systemd-logind.service
Dec 14 09:27:25 localhost systemd[1]: systemd-logind.service: Got notification
message from PID 3078 (WATCHDOG=1)
Dec 14 09:27:25 localhost systemd[1]: systemd-logind.service: got WATCHDOG=1
Dec 14 09:27:30 localhost systemd-logind[3078]: Lid opened.

This sounds like it might be related to:

https://www.mail-archive.com/debian-bugs-dist@lists.debian.org/msg1357649.html

though I don't get a 'system is docked' message.

The default setting in /etc/systemd/logind.conf is

Code:
HandleLidSwitch=suspend

I tried setting it explicitly, but no change.

Anyone have a fix for this?

Graham
