Hi,

I'm using genkernel to generate my initrd with:
Code:

...
genkernel --no-menuconfig --no-mrproper --busybox --udev --lvm --no-clean --install --color --compress-initramfs-type=gzip --kernel-config="/usr/src/linux/.config" initramfs
...

/etc/initramfs.mounts looks like this:
Code:

...
/usr
/usr/lib64
...

/etc/fstab for the relevant file systems looks like this:
Code:

...
/dev/mapper/vg_usr-lv_usr               /usr            ext4            defaults        0 2
/dev/mapper/vg_usr-lv_usr_lib64         /usr/lib64      ext4            defaults        0 2
...

But now I've the problem that "/usr/lib64" is mounted read-only after booting whereas "/usr" is mounted read-write.

What do I need to do to have "/usr/lib64" mounted "read-write" after booting?

Thanks a lot
Alex

I guess I finally found the reason for /usr/lib64 being mounted "ro" after booting.

According

https://www.freedesktop.org/software/systemd/man/systemd-remount-fs.service.html

systemd ignores "normal" file systems and only remouns root, /usr and virtual kernel API file systems.

Does anyone have a hint how I can mount /usr/lib64 "rw" automatically?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks a lot
Alex

Meanwhile I fixed the problem myself by implementing a custom systemd service which runs after "systemd-remount-fs.service".
