I've the Chromebook Acer CB3-111:
The "hard disk" is a 16GB eMMC and the CPU is a 2.1 GHz Intel BayTrail-M N2830, which is a normal 64 bit (not ARM)

I was able to install other distros (Ubuntu for example) but i would like Gentoo. I tried with the LiveUSB.
I can connet to the internet but.... the only problem is that I don't know how to partition and mount the internal SDCard (the 16GB eMMC).

With other distros I can see /dev/mmcblk0 or /dev/mmcblk0boot0 or something like that. (this is because it is not an hard disk or an SSD and the name is not /dev/sda)
In fact /dev/sda1 is my 4GB USB with gentoo Live on it.

if I run fdisk -l I only see (I haven't copied all the lines):
Code:
dev/ram1 (8MB)
dev/ram2 (8MB)
...
dev/ram15 (8MB)
dev/loop0 (220.4 MB)
dev/sda (3.8 GB)

How can I see /dev/mmcblk* with the LiveUSB?

mrfabiolo,

Boot with System Rescue CD
The minimal CD is fairly err ... minimal and may lack the drivers you need.

System Rescue CD is Gentoo based and allows you to follow the handbook with no extra steps.

lsblk only see /dev/sda and /dev/sda1. I think there is a problem of missing drivers, modules not loaded... something like that.

Thank you so much NeddySeagoon for the post. This SystemRescueCd seems very interesting.
I'm installing Gentoo from it now. And it seems to work:

Code:
root@sysresccd /root % ls /dev/mmc* -1
/dev/mmcblk0
/dev/mmcblk0boot0
/dev/mmcblk0boot1
/dev/mmcblk0p1
/dev/mmcblk0rpmb
