i just re-installed from 0 the system but i have a persistend problem with udev and openrc

udev modprobe: FATAL: Module unix not found in directory /lib/modules/....

i thing the kernel modules from kernl not loading o something like this...

any ideas?

papu ... please check that CONFIG_UNIX (Unix domain sockets) is enabled in the kernel ... Networking Support => Networking options => Unix domain sockets. You should probably select =y (rather than =m).

I have changed , same problem
But , it's this aN optioms kernel problem?
I am using the same .config before i reisntall the full system

papu ... not enough information to say, and using the same config doesn't guarantee a working kernel.

i compilet a new .config and seems udev problem disapared , but i continue with extrange things happening...

the module for this ethernet is tg3 and is activate...
a problem with clock and date , may produce this extrange behaviours? i using a dual boot ... i have to investigate.
sorry for bad info but i not have acces to here when i am on chroot-console

papu ... that looks like you have syslog-ng in boot, or sysinit, runlevels ... it should be in 'default'.

Well, it doesn't seem to be there ... what runlevel is this?

See /etc/conf.d/hwclock ... that can cause issues but I'm not sure its the cause here.

seems all problems coming from dedicate ext2 partition for /boot, i have formated it and then all seems is working ... at 640 console resolution but working...at night i try tu compile xfc4 , but thing i will have problems hahaha

if somebody know how to have a boot full native resolution with kms ...
