Hello!

I have come to the point of setting a root password for my new installation and found that my keymap was set to "us" (all though I certainly passed the preferred keymap command when the minimal install cd booted); I am from Norway so would like the "no" keymap.
Anyway to change this on the fly?

Thanks,
Olav

F_Sauce ... you should be able to do the following (outside the chroot) ...

/etc/conf.d/keymaps:
keymap="no"

Code:
# /etc/init.d/keymaps restart
# cat
test some input^C

Assuming this works you should then be able to modify /mnt/gentoo/etc/conf.d/keymaps similarly.

HTH & best ... khay

Quote:
/etc/init.d/keymaps restart

Thanks a lot, that did the trick :)

Cheers,
Olav
