Hi Guys,

I noticed that the any modifications I do in the UEFI boot manager doesn't survives the reboot. Is efibootmgr modifications not persistent?

nelsonwcf ... it should be. It used to be the case that efibootmgr would write to NVRAM, now (>sys-boot/efibootmgr-0.5.4-r1) it writes to efivarfs. This is likely the issue ... but as I'm still using 0.5.4-r1 I can't point to why exactly (though, I can tell you you will find many people with the identical problem on a search).

best ... khay

I've run across this recently. The most likely causes are
1. secure boot is still on. Even if you think you turned it off, check again. In many implementations you actually need to turn it off in multiple locations.
2. Live CD environment. For some reason, this can be problematic. I got around it by booting the system rescue CD and telling it to boot my existing Linux install.
3. UEFI issue. This user experienced the same problem and had to do a hard reset of his UEFI.

Apologies if I take a while to respond. I'm currently working on the dematerialization circuit for my blue box.
