Hi All:

having an issue with my new kernel. Check the Dmesg output:

It it happily boots until 4.67 seconds and then it sits there for over a minute.....
Anyway to fix this?

Cheers,
John

You forgot to tell us if you have DEBUG_WX enabled?

Funny you should ask that.....
After googling, found out about that and went into the kernel hacking section of menuconfig and removed a bunch of stuff. DUBEG_WX is now disabled (was enabled) and have compiled a new kernel. Will let you know after I reboot...the machine is currently slogging through the rebuilding of gtk-webkit...all three versions I have. Those bloody things take longer than chromium to build.

Will advise later tonight on status.

Cheers,
John

Hi All:

This is fixed.
I removed a bunch of debug stuff under kernel hacking until DEBUG_WX changed to "no" and then rebuilt the kernel and dracut.

Rebooted and it works perfectly.

Thanx for the tip from Buffoon!

Cheers,
John
