hi guys, i did an upgrade today and my emerge @preserved-rebuild is clean
but if i do revdep-rebuild i discover so much mess in my system, i suppose something of old packages not cleaned properly:
log on pastebin here
i suppose some stuff can be simply deleted but i fear to do more damage....
some of these entries seems stuff from old kde recently upgraded to the new plasma

Krog,

What does
Code:
emerge --depclean -p
show?

That's a list of orphan packages installed. Read the list carefully. Follow the instructions if there is something there you want to keep.
Do make sure that there is nothing system critical.

Once you are happy, run the command without the -p.

revdep-rebuild and @preserved-rebuild solve the problem of broken reverse dependences in different ways.

With the junk gone, revdep-rebuild and @preserved-rebuild should pretty much agree.

Also check out your world file, every time you run emerge without -1 (--oneshot) the package(s) gets recorded there.
