Printer: HP_LaserJet_Pro_MFP_M125nw

When the printer is discovered, it downloads the proprietary driver and installs it successfully, however, then it asks me to provide the PPD file. This file actually exists and is for the correct printer, I have the static-ppds USE flag enabled. I provide the file for it, click "add" and it gives this error:

Printer queue setup failed.
Error : successful-ok-ignored-or-substituted-attributes

What does this error mean? After reading 10 different posts it seems like this error pops up in a number of places, but it is completely meaningless to me.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or have an idea of what I could attempt to fix it?

Do you use the GUI or the command line? I never use the GUI for setting up new printers - too many issues. The cmd line setup util works much better.

If I add it with "hp-setup -i" I get it added, but it doesn't work.

If I send a job to it, the printer will flash its LCD as "Printing document", but no actual printing is performed.

I know the printer works, I have another computer (also running Gentoo), and I can print to it from that computer. I have carefully reviewed the versions of cups, hplip, gcc, python and anything else I can think of, including the USE flags for all of these. They are identical. Both are running Gentoo stable, even the same kernel.
