I just installed Gentoo with disk encryption lvm luks and genkernel on systemd, it boots much much faster then openrc on my setup however i get error:

/run/lvm/lvmetad.socket: connect failed: No such file or directory
WARNING: Failed to connect to lvmetad. Falling back to internal scanning.

It starts the system anyway and i am not sure if i should ignore this message?

Does this message appear once the system has been fully booted or does this message appear at the initramfs stage?

Becaouse only the initramfs needs to have the lvm daemon active to mount the partitions.

I get the same error message on my system. I have an encrypted partition containing LVM volumes. It seems that the initramfs looks for LVM volumes before asking the user for the password. LVM volumes obviously cannot be found before decrypting the partition.
