When i attempt
grub2-install --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=/boot
It gives me an error: /boot doesnt look like an EFI partition. Which im almost 100% sure it is. Is there a way i can check? And how could i reformat it? Ive tried reformatting but it keeps saying that theres already 2 mounted filesystems which i dont know how to get rid of.
Thanks

Can you post output of parted print?
Code:
# parted
GNU Parted 3.2
Using /dev/sda

(parted) print

I formatted it with mkfs.vfat -F32 and retried the grub installation and it gave me the same error

I also tried to use /dev/sda2 which is my EFI System partition as the efi-directory and it gave me the error

grub2-install: error: failed to get canonical path of `udev'.
