in Europe it is Summer, and it is 10 degrees Celsius warmer then it is in Autumn.

Question: lm_sensors shows that the CPU cores are about 5-10 degrees Celsius warmer then before, could this be caused by the hot summer temperature ?

Hi,

Yes, in my experience such an average temperate change could definitely be explained by a higher ambient temperature ( i.e. your attic being 30 C in stead of 19 C). It makes it much harder for the system to get rid of the heat.
Try opening a window at night when it is colder and the temperature should drop again ;-)

Alex.

Here a test how ambient temperatures affect cpu, is a little bit outdated but the general concept remains the same.
