I have a big doubt
I downloaded this iso livedvd gentoo
[url]http://linuxtracker.org/index.php…[/url]
It worked perfectly UEFI, until I am using this livedvd moment in a notebook with completely clean hd
the which is possible to clone the HD and make installation
good there this problem, I follow the steps and always occurs error
i used
[url]http://gentoo-en.vfose.ru/…/Install_LiveDVD_12.1_to_hard_di…[/url]
and https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-6778848.html#6778848
which first
Copy kernel image and initramfs from the LiveDVD to your new system
Code:
mkdir -p /mnt/cdrom/
mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom/
cp /mnt/cdrom/boot/gentoo /boot/kernel
cp /mnt/cdrom/boot/gentoo.igz /boot/initramfs

I'm using LIVE CD, just have an entry this may be a problem? when mounting the cdrom, sr0?
and
does not exist in these files livedvd
Code:
cdrom/boot/gentoo
/mnt/cdrom/boot/gentoo.igz
the first is in another directory
Code:
/mnt/cdrom/isolinux/gentoo

already the second changed the extension
Code:
/mnt/cdrom/isolinux/gentoo.xz

and the other error and in the case of grub according to the wiki manual
Configure and install GRUB
Code:
File: nano -w /boot/grub/grub.conf

Code:
default 0
timeout 30
title Gentoo Linux
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/kernel real_root=/dev/sda3 vga=791 splash=silent,theme:livecd-12.0 console=tty1 quiet
initrd /boot/initramfs
grub
grub> root (hd0,0)
grub> setup (hd0)
grub> quit
what are the solutions?
thanks so much

anastiel,

It used to work for the 12.1 LiveDVD. That's four years out of date now. Nobody needs a 4 year old Linux install.
It will have heartbleed, shellshock ...

Cloning the DVD to your HDD is a really bad idea. You will not learn the skills required to maintain your Gentoo install.
It won't be your Gentoo either, it will be likewhoas.

You can do a binary install of gentoo but you need to build all your own binaries first.
