I updated World a while ago, rebuild initram etc. as all other World updates for a long time.
Had no reason to reboot then so I didn't.

Now that I need to to shutdown the system for some maintenance it comes back up
with a ZFS Kernel Panic.

Can someone please point me to a a recovery procedure or tell me one here please?

ZFS is on root. I have a Ubntu USB stick running with ZFS modules loaded.
I know I need to get to a Chroot. The step I'm missing is finding the pools from the crashed system.
Asking for help as don't want to do something wrong and damage something.

Doing zpool import looks like it is showing me the pool from the USB stick?
zfs list shows 'no datasets available'

Try using one of fearedbliss' sysresccd images: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/User:Fearedbliss

I had the "no datasets" error after an upgrade a while back, iirc I was able to import my pool and mount datasets with an older version (0.6.5.3).

Assuming that works, do you have zfs-mount and zfs-import in the boot runlevel and zfs-share in default?
