iHi forum

Seems like startx command is not working.

I've already done emerge -av xorg-server and emerge -av xterm.

Already try with startx and startkde both dont work, should re-emerge all?

im currently emerge xorg-x11 probably thats what im missing...

Never do that as root! Xorg was never meant to be run as root and poses a severe security risk.

Try it as a user after you reinstall xorg-server without the minimal use flag. (-minimal)

Actually, I missed your last post. I doubt I'll save you time, but you are not missing xorg-x11. That is the meta package. xorg-server is all the bits you will need for day to day applications.

You know, this stuff is documented...
