Hej Im fixing and old computer so im doing a new installation on x86 purely and I have some issues compiling the genkernel

What version of gcc you have?
Another way is disable CONFIG_CC_STACKPROTECTOR_REGULAR option in the kernel, for make this launch genkernel with --menuconfig option
