I want to install gentoo according this wiki: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Systemd/Installing_Gnome3_from_scratch.
I used to burn USB stick with .iso file like: install-amd64-minimal-20170504.iso, but for stage3 with systemd,
I find in /releases/amd64/autobuilds only .tar.bz2 file like: stage3-amd64-systemd-20170508.tar.bz2 -
Please advise how to burn/install with .tar.bz2?

pmam,

The ISO and tarball serve two different purposes.

install-amd64-minimal-20170504.iso is a bootable image.
stage3-amd64-systemd-20170508.tar.bz2 and the like is the guts of your Gentoo install you have little or no choice over.
Its enough binaries for you to chroot into after your system has booted.

The default Gentoo stage3 files all provide openrc but you want systemd.
Use stage3-amd64-systemd-20170508.tar.bz2 for your stage3 file. This will avoid the steps that remove openrc and install systemd

ok - maybe I find out.. Need to burn the regular install-amd64-minimal-20170504.iso,
but at the step of 'Installing a stage tarball', need to choose: stage3-amd64-systemd-20170508.tar.bz2 - right?
