OK, I like genkernel. It lets me do one interaction with the system, walk away, and when I get back my new kernel is ready. It's nice and easy.

However today I had occasion to want to do it remotely, and I really dislike "menuconfig". Well some time back they added "nconfig", as a text-mode interface that works more like the guis. But "genkernel --nconfig all" doesn't work. There is no support yet for "nconfig". I checked bugzilla and was about to file a bug, but it suggested checking here first.

Any other interest in "genkernel --nconfig all"?

i don't use genkernel, except for generating initramfs as i haven't figured out how to otherwise. i find the manual method is more efficient for me.

i much prefer nconfig too, except for when i have to search. if nconfig would incorporate search & jump the way menuconfig does, i would just stop using menuconfig entirely.
