Hi,

sometimes I can't get my machine suspended eventhough it works most of the time, even on heavy load.
Some while ago I got some root password dialog and I got to know that I need some new polkit policy due to some updates and I added this to be able to suspend as user:

/etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/allow_all_users_to_shutdown_reboot_suspend.pkla:

[Allow all users to shutdown]
Identity=unix-user:wheel
Action=org.freedesktop.login1.power-off-multiple-sessions
ResultActive=yes

[Allow all users to reboot]
Identity=unix-user:wheel
Action=org.freedesktop.login1.reboot-multiple-sessions
ResultActive=yes

[Allow all users to suspend]
Identity=unix-user:wheel
Action=org.freedesktop.login1.suspend-multiple-sessions
ResultActive=yes

[Allow all users to ignore inhibit of shutdown]
Identity=unix-user:wheel
Action=org.freedesktop.login1.power-off-ignore-inhibit
ResultActive=yes

[Allow all users to ignore inhibit of reboot]
Identity=unix-user:wheel
Action=org.freedesktop.login1.reboot-ignore-inhibit
ResultActive=yes

[Allow all users to ignore inhibit of suspend]
Identity=unix-user:wheel
Action=org.freedesktop.login1.suspend-ignore-inhibit
ResultActive=yes

With these settings, suspend was working again as user, but sometimes it is not.
This is a laptop with lid closed and 3 external screens attached. The machine does not turn off at all but just continues running. The syslog looks like this:

Maybe there is the cause for the failing suspend?

I guess this is the central point where suspend is failing:
Code:
Jun 30 15:08:06 [kernel] sd 1:0:0:0: [sdb] Stopping disk
Jun 30 15:08:06 [kernel] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Stopping disk
Jun 30 15:08:06 [kernel] serial 00:04: disabled
Jun 30 15:08:06 [kernel] xhci_hcd 0000:26:00.0: WARN: xHC CMD_RUN timeout
Jun 30 15:08:06 [kernel] suspend_common(): 0xffffffffa02ce210 returns -110
Jun 30 15:08:06 [kernel] pci_pm_suspend(): 0xffffffff8146ab90 returns -110
Jun 30 15:08:06 [kernel] dpm_run_callback(): 0xffffffff81246ce0 returns -110
Jun 30 15:08:06 [kernel] PM: Device 0000:26:00.0 failed to suspend async: error -110
Jun 30 15:08:06 [kernel] PM: Some devices failed to suspend, or early wake event detected
Jun 30 15:08:06 [kernel] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Starting disk
Jun 30 15:08:06 [kernel] sd 1:0:0:0: [sdb] Starting disk

Usually with a recently started system I can always suspend, usually also after 2 or 3 days. But as I suspend every day it stops working after some more days. Sometimes it helped to do a `sync` before, so do that every time before suspending. But it did not help in the case above. I did not change the setup of attached USB devices or something.
