Hi,

After switching my Kernel from 4.8-hardened to 4.12 gentoo-sources, it seems my laptop is booting into Airplane Mode by default. I have to use the 'fn' key combo every time to turn it off and get wifi going. Having a hard time figuring out what I missed in my new config.

I actually just copied my working config from 4.8 for the new kernel. I glanced over everything to make sure it was sane. This seems to be the only thing that's not working as well (or better) than before the update.

Both configs can be found here: https://bitbucket.org/experimentfailed/gentoo-kernel-configs/src/a95f9ad0b1565ca68befc057e5b7b778a4a49431/yoga20332/?at=master

I don't see any difference in my rfkill options, which I think is what controls that...Is that correct?

I'm certain this is another of my silly derps or oversights but it's evading me.

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

EDIT:
I learned a bit more about rfkill... Installed the utility:

Code:
# rfkill list
0: ideapad_wlan: Wireless LAN
        Soft blocked: yes
        Hard blocked: no
1: ideapad_bluetooth: Bluetooth
        Soft blocked: yes
        Hard blocked: no
2: phy0: Wireless LAN
        Soft blocked: yes
        Hard blocked: no
3: hci0: Bluetooth
        Soft blocked: yes
        Hard blocked: no

The utility unblocks everything just fine, so I guess for now I can use a script.

I would still like to know why this happened, though....I didn't have to install the utility or anything else on my 4.8 config.
