Hi to all !

I just installed my gentoo system by following the Sakaki tutorial, everything was working fine, i was able to boot my OS from a usb stick. But in order to launch xorg, I needed to load some built-in some intel drivers in my kernel, so I decided to customize my kernel according to this tutorial https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Lenovo_Thinkpad_T430 with builkernel --menuconfig without any errors. And it was the last time I saw my system booting.

Instead of asking me to enter my passphrase, the boot-time process isn't able to find my key stored in my usb :

>> Using key device /dev/disk/by-partuuid/....
!! insert device /dev/disk.by-partuuid/...
!! You have 10 seconds...
>> Looking for the key

When using a rescue livecd and checking my usb key with buildkernel --ask --verbose and buildkernel --ask --verbose according to the sakaki tutorial, I got no errors messages, partuuid is still correct. Everything is working well. When usb is mounted I can see the different booting file and the encrypted key.

So I guess my mistake is in my kernel configuration. I don't know how but I may have disabled a key module.
I've checked my Usb, EFI kernel configuration according to these tutorials :
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/EFI_System_Partition
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/USB/Guide

I'm lost and I really need you help.

Thanks in advance and my sorry for my english

Hi,

Do you have the new kernel config on your boot USB key? If so, can you grep out the CONFIG_CMDLINE entry and post it here?
Also, can you pls post an "ls -l" of the top level of the boot USB key, and the contents of the directory /EFI/Boot from the same?
