A while back, mesa/radeon started using software rendering for everything, I can tell it's software rendering because the framerates for anything that would use hardware acceleration are extremely low, and CPU usage is extremely high, while my GPU is basically idling. Everything SEEMS to check out, but software rendering is definitely being used.

Well, i can get 1500 FPS in glxgears with vsync disabled with 1000x1000 resolution, although it was the same with 300x300. It was using ~33% of the graphics pipe, according to radeontop, which would indicate that hardware accel is working, minetest also has hardware 3D accel for sure. This may be localized to Steam games.

the game does start and run, but the framerate is too low to be playable. Should have tried Minetest earlier to narrow down the problem.
