When setting bios to use UMA ONLY graphic everything is OK. If I change bios graphic setting to discrete, gentoo will freeze on boot where says: Population on /dev ... uevents [OK].
I install nvidia driver and followed many threats on nvidia and optimus driver but no luck. I read many pages on nvidia an followed the instructions but nothing works.

I got lenovo ideapad 310, VGA: intell and gforce 920m
with UMA ONLY setting I got one VGA:
Code:
$ sudo lspci | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 620 (rev 02)

I need the second nvidia graphic.
Any help?

There should be a third option in bios, hybrid or optimus. Tried that?

nhamidi,

Are you sure it freezes?

Its easy to build a kernel with no text console support when you use the nvidia-drivers.
Everything works but you can't see it.

Put the kernel config you use with nvidia-drivers onto a pastebin.
Its not possible to use the same kernel with the Intel graphics as they both want different framebuffer settings.
