I am wanting to enable reverse path filtering and I have successfully enabled it on IPv4, but when trying to enable it on IPv6 it was saying that there was no file to write to:

Code:
$ sudo sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.all.rp_filter=1
sysctl: cannot stat /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/all/rp_filter: No such file or directory

I have tried enabling IPv6 rpfilter related options in the kernel, but upon reboot I still get the same error. Since then I have disabled the options again.

Is there any specifics to enabling this option?

Also from what I have read this protects from IP source spoofing, but is this necessarily a client feature or is it primarily used for hosts/routers?

Thanks.
