Hi,
AFAIR my out of the tree Wifi driver module should not load anymore as it is planned to switch multiboot from MBR to UEFI.
Is there really no workaround to such an issue?

If there isn't any workaround, is there a procedure to suggest kernel.org teams to examine the option of including existing code into the kernel in a near future, at least at staging state?

Side notes:
A) HW chip is 'infamous' Mediatek MT7630e which out of the tree driver 'hooks' on some standard kernel Mediatek wifi config options configured as module.
B) This out of the tree driver has been working fine for years now.
C) Driver package also includes BT set as a different module, but its working status can't be confirmed because of lack of BT device to test here.

Thks 4 ur attention.

From my understanding, drivers shouldn't care if you are using UEFI/MBR or not, as it is on a whole different level. The UEFI/MBR is when the computer first boots up as it does its BIOS/CMOS checks followed by the MBR/UEFI which starts the loading of the OS kernel. So for all effects drivers should have no purpose at this stage, as it the initial operations are done by the BIOS. I don't know on if Wake-up on Lan (if that works for wireless network cards or not) is affected, if drivers even would have a factor.
