My linacks wont boot, I had problems with repos.conf and gentoo.conf as they were empty but otherwise installation seemingly went fine |

Looks like you specified the wrong root disk or built your kernel lacking the drivers needed for your root block device. Make sure your bootloader has the proper root=[your root disk] in your bootloader
Also Ensure you have:
- disk driver (AHCI most likely)
- root disk filesystem support (like ext4fs)
available for your kernel. If you built as modules, ensure that you have them in your initramfs - but if just starting out, you probably should compile them in your kernel as "Y" instead as a "M"odule.
Pastebin or post the contents of your "lspci" with the mininstaller as well as your kernel configuration. _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K@ 4.1GHz/HD3000 graphics/8GB DDR3/180GB SSD

I have an X220 and can post a working 4.14 kernel config if you want it - just ask!
Just bear in mind I don't use any of that "modern nonsense" - I use BIOS rather than EFI and systemd? Never heard of it. |
