For some reason make finishes without built bzImage and modules. I have not had such issues with 4.14.52 I currently use or any previous version. Please take a look: http://dpaste.com/219SZNX

Here is my kernel's config: http://dpaste.com/22YVC64

Please advise.

Code:
make[1]: *** No rule to make target '/lib/firmware/nouveau//nve0_vp', needed by 'firmware/nve0_vp.gen.o'.  Stop.
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
  MK_FW   firmware/nve0_vp.gen.S
make: *** [Makefile:1035: firmware] Error 2
make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....

From your build log, I'm pretty sure that stops the build process at that time

Yeah, I saw this error, but I failed to find a solution.

Oh, it might be related to https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/VideoAcceleration/ . Checking..

Probably because you set
Code:
CONFIG_EXTRA_FIRMWARE="nve0_vp"
CONFIG_EXTRA_FIRMWARE_DIR="/lib/firmware/nouveau/"

I don't see this firmware in sys-kernel/linux-firmware package

/lib64/firmware/nouveau/nve0_vp

Not sure where I got it, as it was years ago, probably sys-firmware/nvidia-firmware

Backup your config and try removing the Nouveau firmware line. I'm running Nouveau and the only firmware I load is for my TV cards.

Finally, the issue has been fixed. It seems that long time ago I configured video acceleration using the article at https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/VideoAcceleration/ , but in some moment the directory /lib/firmware/nouveau disappeared that caused conflict with firmware path in config. I have installed firmware once again and now everything is fine. Thank you, guys, for your help.

I'm surprised that firmware is needed for nouveau, but all's well that ends well and we learn something new every day.

I think it's needed depending on which version of cards you have, I run a 730 (older card) and don't need it.
