OK So I've been through several successful installation and now I'm curious.
I resolved every '#dmesg | grep -i error' and '#dmesg | grep -i warning'.

And machine works great. No Problem At All.

So from now on, what things should I check for system sanity.
I'm doing dmesg, rc.log combo.

( curiousity occurred from comparing bloated distros like Ubuntu, Fedora. After installing them, they load a tons of modules. Do I need to compare and use them? Or works fine means ok? )

It depends on what you want to do with that system.

To avoid kernel bloat, just build what you need and nothing more. If you plan to use VMware on top of your Gentoo host, you'll need to build a couple things into your kernel, same goes for a webcam.

But you will not need all of the modules that come with a standard distro's kernel.

Is this a server, laptop or desktop?

I would highly recommend the following pages:

https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Selected_set_(Portage)#Keeping_the_world_file_clean

https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Portage/Sync especially "emaint sync -a"

https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Eix

From the top of my head, I would also do the following :

Code:
emerge gimp libreoffice inxi clementine k3b mplayer vlc nmap steam wine zsh

If you have a webcam :

Code:
emerge cheese
