i have very old system
XELF qnap # mount.cifs -V
mount.cifs version: 1.14-3.5.11
and when I mount disk (NAS) share can create files/directories with case sensate.
|XELF qnap # mkdir a A
XELF qnap # ls -ld A a
drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 0 Nov 30 22:03 A
drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 0 Nov 30 22:03 a
when I mount, the same share using mount.cifs version: 6.7
|xelf64 /mnt/qnap # ls -ld a A
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 0 11-30 22:03 a
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 0 11-30 22:03 A
xelf64 /mnt/qnap # mkdir b B
mkdir: cannot create directory ?B?: File exists
it's not mount with nocase option - I check this mount on CentOS 7.5 with mount.cifs 6.2 and have same problem.
any ideas plz ?
