Hello everyone!

Sometimes, when I boot up my laptop, the only output available in pulseaudio in a dummy output. I have been searching for some people with the same problem and, even if there are a lot of posts about it, I could not find a solution.
Can you give me some clues on what could be failing or where could I look for some logs about this? I really do not know anything about Pulseaudio and I am quite lost.

The weirdest thing is that it works perfectly sometimes. I have already checked permissions and everything is OK, I am part of the "audio" group.
Also, the command "sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*" does not output anything whenever I get the dummy output error, so the sound card is not used by other apps.
In alsamixer the sound card is available though.

Thanks in advance :D

So apparently there was a problem in autodetecting the devices because I was using udev 240-r2, which is in ~amd64.
I have gone back to 239 and it looks OK for now. I have done like 5-6 reboots and it has worked well in all of them.

EDIT: replaced udev with eudev in the end because I am using OpenRC instead of Systemd, and it works great too
