HiSometimes I delete a file by mistake.

I use testdisk to recover online

The problem is the containing directory may be full of traces for other deleted files.
The requested file can be one to find among many hundreds or thousands.

testdisk doesn't provide search tool or sorted display, so paging is the only solution, and it can be painfully tme consuming.

Is it possible to purge ext4 journal for deletion traces, likely offline?

maybe there is another more practical tool for file undeltion on ext4?

Thks 4 ur attention
